What we collect
The details you give us when you register — name, e-mail address, and optionally a phone number, date of birth, gender and a short bio. For teacher and parent accounts, the credentials or relationship you submit for approval. Beyond that, we hold what the platform produces as you use it: enrolments, lesson progress, quiz attempts, assignment submissions, attendance, certificates, messages, and discussion posts.
Why we use it
To run your account and give you access to what you have enrolled in; to record progress and issue certificates; to let teachers grade your work and answer your questions; to send service messages such as approval decisions, password resets and course notifications; and to keep the platform secure and working.
Who can see your information
Your instructors and the administrators of your organisation can see the work and progress relevant to the courses you are enrolled in. Other students see only what you post publicly — your name, avatar and your contributions to discussions, channels and study circles. We use service providers for hosting, file storage, e-mail delivery and payments; they process data on our instructions only. We do not sell your information.
How long we keep it
Account and learning records are kept while your account is open, and afterwards only where we need them — for example, so an issued certificate stays verifiable, or to meet a legal or accounting obligation.
Your choices
You can view and edit your profile at any time from your account settings, and change your password there. You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to close your account and delete what we are not required to keep. Write to us and we will act on it.
Keeping it safe
Traffic is encrypted in transit, passwords are stored hashed and never in readable form, and access to the administrative side of the platform is limited to the staff who need it. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach ever affects your data we will tell you.
